Math Tutorial Lab and Final Exams
The Department of Mathematics provides tutoring services across campus in its Math Tutoring Labs. They also offer a comprehensive set of past final examinations for a wide range of courses, including:
College Algebra I and II;
Precalculus and Calculus I, II, III;
Introduction to Statistics;
Differential Equations; and
Linear Algebra.

Resources for Studying and Orginizational Tools
Chegg - A study resource for high school and college students that provides tools for studying. The site offers a free 4- week trial when you create a student account
Quizlet - A free platform that makes studying fun by allowing you to upload content you have learned and create practice quiz, flashcards, and memory games out of the information.
Course Hero - A tool that allows free access to study tools when you post your study tools to the site.
UnHangout (Open Source) Hero - Provides peer to peer communication for students. Students can watch lectures together that are prerecorded or other videos online and participate in live discussion.
Trello - A user/student-friendly online platform for project management. Trello is an ideal resourse for communicating with classmates and monitoring progress.

NetTutor Offers Online Tutoring Services
Create a NetTutor Account
1. Go to: https://www.nettutor.com/howard
2. Enter your:
- Username
- First Name
- Last Name
- Howard University Email Address
Click Create My Account.
NetTutor will email a Password to you.
3. Go to https://www.nettutor.com/ and log in with your Username and Password.
4. Read through the "End User License Agreement."
If you agree to the terms, click the Accept and Continue button.
You go load a page with a list of available courses and additional instructions.
On-Campus Resources
Use NetTutor in the ACE Computer Lab (Room 105) or the ACE Tutoring Center (Room 109) both in Academic Support Building - B, located behind Locke Hall and adjacent to the School of Education.
NetTutor Services Hours
Monday to Friday
- 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.;
- 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Saturday
- 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
