Sands Scholars Program
The Sands Scholars Program was established by Bob P. and Sally G. Sands for Howard University students in 2017. The cohort-based, student-centered program, provides advising, support and enrichment for a community of scholars focused on student success, graduation and career development.
Howard University Freshman Scholars (HUFS)
The Howard University Freshman Scholarship (HUFS) is a merit-based financial aid award, available to incoming freshmen and granted at the time of university admissions. Students are encouraged to work with academic support services in OUS, university academic advisors and the Office of Financial Aid to maintain eligibility for the renewable award. Clare Boothe Luce Scholars Program (Women in STEM)
With funding for undergraduate scholarships from the Clare Boothe Luce Program, the Center for Honors and Scholarship Development provides collaborative programming to support women engineering majors in the university’s prestigious Karsh STEM Scholars Program. Programming includes workshops on national competitive fellowships for graduate programs focused on STEM research careers.
