Fall 2026 Aleks Instructions

Five Steps to Proctored Math Placement Exams

Please read the following Math Placement Exam Assessment (Proctored) instructions for fall 2026 carefully. (For full instructions for incoming students, please consult the New Student Guide.)

For the fall 2026 math course placement exam, we will accept an proctored version of the Math Placement Assessment. The Math Placement Assessment is administered through McGraw-Hill’s Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS) program. The Math Placement Exam is mandatory for all new students who have not earned college-level math credits through dual enrollment, Advanced Placement, or some other process. If you have already registered for MATH 005, the placement exam is still required to ensure proper placement. ALEKS is a web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning system that quickly and accurately assesses a student’s level of mathematic proficiency.
