ACE Scholars Program

ACE Scholars Program

The ACE Scholars Program provides an exceptional scholars program designed to support students with attaining national and international merit awards and prestigious scholarships. These merit awards are different from the awards that are offered through the Office of Financial Aid.

ACE works with campus partners to identify, support and recruit high-achieving students to submit competitive applications and receive prominent awards. These awards usually support graduate education, research, or training in international settings such as Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

ACE builds on the rich legacy of Howard University by leveraging institutional resources to support high-achieving students with essay writing, application submission, interview preparation, and building confidence. ACE has proudly supported students with earning Pickering Fellowships and Beinecke, Boren, ETS Presidential, Goldwater, Luce, Marshall, Schwarzman, and Truman Scholarships in recent years. Additionally, Howard University has been a top producer of Gilman Scholars over the past 20 years.

Scholar Development Advising

Scholar Development Advising in the Office of Undergraduate Studies is meant to ensure that students are participating in experiences outside of the classroom, to ensure readiness and competitiveness with a broad range of postgraduate goals, including fellowships, graduate/professional schools, and career readiness. CHSD works closely with a wide range of offices for sharing information, including the Bunche Center’s HU Bison Abroad Office, the Center for Career and Professional Success, and the Center for Preprofessional Education.
